Imogen's first holiday.

A very dear friend of mine got engaged last year and invited us to her engagement party, in Adelaide.

I lived in Adelaide from 1991-97 and I always enjoy a reason to go back! I hadn't been back since 2006 (when my friend turned 21).
Since Imogen was invited to the engagement party we decided to take her down for the week. And it was so much fun!
For a very long time we had said that we would drive down, we've done the drive to Melbourne so many times and we didn't think it would be that much further! It would have been 24 hours in the car (6 more hours than the drive to Melbourne). And since recently Imogen has not been shy about crying in the car, at the last minute we decided to fly.
She was pretty good on the flight with some mild over-tired whingeing before take-off. She mostly slept in her dads arms. I didn't realise this, but Rhys was holding Immy and the person on the other side of him had taken up the arm-rest so he was holding all 9 odd kilos of her for two hours without support!
We stayed at a hotel in Kent town, across the road from a park. One thing that I really enjoyed about Adelaide is the fact that they had daylight until 8-9pm, so we could have dinner at the park across the street!

While we were there we took Imogen to the museum, the zoo, the beach, the mall and Hahndorf, a local german town. It was such a great holiday. It was so special for me, being able to take her to the places I went to when I was a kid.
