The things I do for me

Imogen 2 days old

Gelati (in Venice) - one thing I very much enjoy
A newborn/growing baby will take up a pretty big chunk of your time. But with what little time I do have to myself (which is thanks to my mother and my husbands help with Imogen/housework) I enjoy the following.

- Words with friends
- sleep
- reading (at the moment I'm reading Phillipa Gregory books about the Tudors)
- facebook
- Jeopardy!
- cooking/eating

I can't help laughing to myself that sleeping and eating now seem like treats!

Christmas eve
Where have the last few weeks gone?
I have been meaning to write about Imogen's first christmas since it happened 3 weeks ago!
Now it feels like so long ago and my memory is a bit hazey!

Imogen was six months old on Christmas day, so it was a doubly special day. We woke up at about 7am and as we had some breakfast Imogen opened her very first Christmas gift (featured in the photo above). After eating some wrapping paper we have her some carrot puree.

We spent the day cooking and preparing for dinner. Imogen enjoyed the company of her Uncle, her GrimGrams and Nonny.

When all 12 people showed up at around 5pm, it was all a bit much for Immy, who just wanted to go to bed by that stage.

So Imogen's chair was empty at Christmas dinner. She did join us for the opening of the presents. She received so many cool toys and cute clothes. I have no idea what is left to buy for her first birthday!
